Who Am I?
I'm Anna Stropha, a woman of the times (transgender) and technophile extraordinaire. You've found my homepage, which is where I link my various online activities to my real life identity. This is broadly known to be a terrible idea! Thankfully, I am free from fear. I tell other lies as well, but that's the last one here.
I have a long list of skills, and an even longer list of interestes. One could call me easily distracted, a dabbler, or flighty, certainly - but the polite way to say it would be to say I'm a Jack of all trades, or perhaps even a Renaissance Woman.
My header, just a short distance above, links my other indices, where my works can be found.
On the technical side, I'm a valedictorian graduate of North Carolina State University's Computer Science and Engineering program. I learned Java as my first programming language (like many others) years before I even thought about college.
Ever since I started with Java toys and raw HTML + CSS web design, I've had a fondness for technology and have taught myself bits and pieces of a dozen languages. My dabbling extends from the ever-popular staples, Javascript and Python, to languages for which I hold a personal fondnes, such as Kotlin and Ruby.
Beside languages, I have experience with a breadth of frameworks and tools. I use Arch Linux as my daily operating system, and many of my projects, even those which are not code-based, use Git for version control. I've used a dozen GUI frameworks in my time, and a half-dozen more web frameworks to boot - not to mention the innumerable libraries I've used for this or that.
Video games have also been a long-time interest (I'm really breaking new ground here, I know), and on top of some modification of existing projects, I've also long been making my own little things: from primitive early-2000s tools whose names are lost to time, through ease-of-use engines like Game Maker and Twine, recently settling (with a detour through Unreal) on my favored tool of the past few years, Godot.
My other interest which will have a substantive presence on this page are my tabletop gaming projects and ponderings. The best way to show my chops in this space are to show my work - so look forward to clicking "Dice Games" above, where I will soon place a sampling of my work.

I'm more than willing to talk over the phone, on Discord, or on other platforms, but there's no chance I'll leave those out on the open internet for anyone to see.
